- Is one of the oldest resident theatres in the nation, now in its fourth decade
- Is the only Western New York member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT), a national network of professional Equity theatres
- Theatre School, in its 80th year of operation, is the oldest continually running theatre school connected to a resident theatre
- Offers a discount program for senior citizens and students
- Builds all sets, props and costumes locally
- Is the first American professional resident theatre to co-produce with a Canadian theatre company for the 1994 production of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND with the Canadian Stage Company
- Actively launches co-productions with other members of the League of Resident Theatres
- Creates an economic impact of $10.5 million on the local economy
- Attracts more than 100,000 patrons per season, and provides in excess of 20,000 students with an introduction to live theatre via the Theatre School
